I've used both a slingbox as well as a directv set-up. The Slingbox worked fine when I use to be able to connect to ISU's free wi-fi. That has since gone away and like others have said the cellular network is a joke during game day. When I did have it running I would run it on a laptop and then just connect that to LCD. I still use Slingbox on my Ipad, phone, and Nexus 7 but not at games.
We now just use a basic directv dish and receiver combo. The first time of the year it takes about 15 minutes to set-up but after that it takes about 5 minutes. The only problem we have is people standing in front of it. I just tell them they are going to get cancer if they stand in front of it for more than 10 seconds. They usually leave.
