Recruit Lists v2.0

To lazy to look for transfer thread... Saw Joe Coleman is leaving Minnesota, wondering what the story is there. We offered out of HS.

Story... Richard P. just signed two more guards (one his boy from UF-I today) to add to the Hollin's boys. Though Coleman is a pretty good athlete he isn't refined basketball player (poor shooter and ball handling). The writing was on the wall that he wasn't going to see much playing time.
I know CFH offered him out of HS but, that was a different recruiting era (first class for Fred I believe). I'd be surprised if Fred had any interest at this point of his tenure.

I'll just call myself out on this one...

PiPress Gophers Now@GophersNow 1h Schools such as Missouri, Iowa State, Florida State, Oregon and Creighton are interested in Joe Coleman already. Pretty nice list #Gophers

I wouldn't put to much stock in that Tweet IMO. Minnesota message boards throws ISU name for about every transfer without knowing how many scholarships we even have open. On top of that, the Pioneer Press does not have a great track record on basketball information, including common knowledge of gopher recruits and transfers.

Nice thing about being one of the first schools to make the transfer project work is we are supposedly on every transfers lists

Yeah the Pioneer Press thought we just started recruiting Rashad Vaughn a couple weeks ago.

but since we recruited him in HS, it would make sense that we'd contact him. I can believe it.

If we are recruiting Coleman we are making a mistake. He shoots like me.

I don't know anything beyond his stat lines so I can't comment too much but his numbers are not terrible.
Coleman played in 72 career games in Maroon and Gold, including all 34 games
last season. He contributed career-highs in multiple categories as a sophomore,
including points (8.7 ppg), rebounds (3.6 rpg), assists (1.5 apg), steals (1.1
spg) and minutes played (26.3 mpg).
