That's how you know the story isn't true. If they get married, they probably will have a pre-nup. I'd also guess that there will be language in there about her getting more money if the cause if the divorce is infidelity. However, he'd have to be the biggest moron on the planet to sign a prenup that requires him to give up half his assets in the event of a divorce.

I think doing his thing off the course has a lot to do with his winning on the course. Knowing what we know now, looking back at his career, he did all his winning when he was making sure that Little Tiger was taken care of.
