I'm interested to see other people's opinions on the Kentucky Derby

It's that one day of the year when everybody on my facebook newsfeed somehow became professional horse know-it-alls overnight.

What I hate most is all the coverage for such a short event. Some people complain about the coverage for the Super Bowl, but that's nothing compared to this

I might watch if they would tell me exactly what time the race was going to start. However, since they don't.....I refuse to watch 3+ hours of coverage for a 4 minute animal race.

I watch the race only and love it. Usually very exciting. This year's race sucked though. BO-RING

Just look to see what the post time is. This year it was 6:24 ET.

I don't think it's stupid, but I have literally no interest in it. The TV coverage is ridiculous though, a 2 or 3 hour show for a two minute race? No thank you.

The derby lasts 2 minutes, lets say an average football game lasts 3 hours, or 180 minutes. Imagine the Super Bowl with a 270 hour continuous pre game show.
