The writer for SI picks the Clippers to be in the finals.

Not that outlandish, got the great point guard, a couple big-time dunkers, and shooters galore.

That said, also wouldn't be surprised at a loss to most anyone.

I think the Clippers could beat OKC. I think they'll need a quick series against Memphis though otherwise they're in danger of Memphis' physical defense wearing down Paul.

pretty big difference to me.......

I'm curious to see how Kevin Martin does in these playoffs, he has basically no playoff experience and is going to be counted on to be a reliable scorer for the Thunder.

I get a kick out of the posters on this board who think Thibodeau's coaching or style isn't effective in the playoffs. The guy is a top five basketball coach on the planet. If his style 'doesn't work in the playoffs' then I guess only Spoelstra has a style that 'works' among all current NBA coaches and he's the coaching genius of our time. LMAO at his critics, guy might be the best coach of any team I've ever followed including Jackson. Swap coaches and the Bulls would be out of the playoffs and the Nets would probably be the two seed and I don't think PJ's even a horrible coach, just average.

Yeah, his coaching style really has his team peaking for the playoffs. None of those injuries were caused by him playing guys an insane amount of minutes in the regular season.

I've always said Thibs is a very good coach, he gets the most out of his team every night, it just leaves his team run down by playoff time and they've already reached their ceiling. But it gets the Bulls a good regular season record and good playoff seed, which is probably all Bulls fans can ask for while they are in the same conference as the Heat.

Disagree whole heartedly. Thibs is a good coach but like any other coach he needs players that fit his system. His system works so well in Chicago because he and management have built a roster full of versatile defenders that combined with Thibs defensive schemes makes them a devastating defensive team. Brooklyn doesn't have that.

The reason Chicago won't win a title this year and the reason they haven't won one under Thibs is because they can't consistantly score on offense.

Name 5 better coaches than Thibs.

2) Gregg Poppovich (obvious)
3) Scott Brooks (debatable)
4) Doc Rivers (debatable)
5) Rick Carlisle (debatable)

not that hard.

once Phil comes back, he'll replace Rick

You think Scott Brooks is a better coach than Rick Carlisle? This has to be a joke.

I would say neither Scott brooks nor George Karl is a better coach than Thibs.
