He's great. I'm just bummed still from the game and reading this didn't help.

Re: Big 12 North Recruiting overview

In deference to the recruits, we already have the most important part - the engine.
So I am glad we have AA as a qb who can throw it downfield on a rope. The qb is the most important position. If we can score 30 a game, a lot of our present ills will be cured. Most Recruits will catch psses if the qb is there to deliver them.

Nice to hear that they are high on Lonzie, since he didnt play last year, and we really dont know how good he is. Steal of the class? Maybe he was good enough to go to a "better" program if he had playedas a senior.

Rivals.com has us currently rated last in the Big 12 for recruiting which is still a little concerning to me and we are a little thin in DL and LB commits which are 2 spots hit heavy by graduation recently and lacked in size as well. Hopefully we have a few late suprise commits because to be honest I'm a little disappointed in our recruiting so far.

We had a few redshirts and freshmen from last year that were supposedly pretty decent at LB. And Jerrod Black is supposed to be very good also. The DL concerns me a bit more than LB. We lost Tuba and Braaksma, but Taylor returns as does Parker. We redshirted some awesome OL recruits so I think we should be okay. I think adding the RB transfer from Florida is a big positive. We really needed him for depth when Bass and Scales leave. Along with A-Rob, I think we will have two very good backs in 2009. And then add in Schwartz who is a load.

I think somebody had posted an article on here about Lonzie Range and how he would have been major recruit for big time programs had he stayed healthy. His natural position is wide receiver but he played quarterback as a junior. I think he tore his ACL or something and most coaches didn't want to take a chance on him.
