These teams should have to be in play-in games.

Liberty and the SWAC champ will for sure be in one of the 16 play-ins.

MEAC is almost assured of the other play-in. Right now I have James Madison in the other ... we'll see how WAC shakes out. If UTSA or Texas State wins it, that'd be the other play-in.

I had to prove to some Hawk fans why their resume wasn't better yesterday, this was my response.

I've noticed some Hawk fans saying "if Minnesota is in, then Iowa should definitely be in". Umm.. no. Minnesota's resume is far better than Iowa's even with the epic late season collapse.

Correct.

Those fans almost surely don't know the process very well (or are choosing to ignore it), likely focusing on head-to-head, conference standings and the fact Iowa advanced in B10 tourney.

"If Minnesota and Illinois are in then we should definitely be in. We went 2-1 against them during the regular season and finished above them in the conference standings. The RPI is the worst ranking system out there and is completely outdated."

what can I say? Their fanbase has one of those Pigpen-esqe stink clouds that follows it around. The aroma is hard to describe. It's like a dirty diaper soaked in sour milk.
