Haha, Iowa lost to Virginia Tech, Nebraska, and Purdue

How in the world do they think beating Minnesota and Illinois make up for that? At least last year Iowa beat 4 ranked teams. This year one. Iowa has ONE big 10 win vs a team in their conference with a winning record.

At the end of the day Iowa's best win is against Wisconsin in Iowa City. Nothing that special. What a snooze of a season. I feel bad for their fans having to watch losses and meaningless wins all season long.

I have no idea why Fran scheduled so lightly. He had a TON of returning players this year.

McCabe
Marble
White
Basabe
Ogelsby
Olesani
May

Thats seven returning players. Why the heck do you need to avoid people with that kind of experience unless you dont have the talent... which means..... you aren't that good.

Iowa was the 298th most experienced team in the country this year, so they really didn't have much experience returning. Plus it's not like anyone of those guys had experienced a lot of winning, which Fran said was his purpose for the schedule.

Weird change, considering one of the play-in games is for an 11 seed.

Yea, I have always thought that is stupid. The play-in games ought to be between four "16" seeds to see who advances to play #1. And that round should be called the Play-In Round, with Round 1 starting at 64. Calling it Round 2 is beyond stupid.

Completely agree. Worst seeds should have to play the extra game. And the 11-6/5-12 games have usually been very exciting..I hate them screwing with those seeds at all. Mess with the 15-16 seeds..it won't make a difference.

Iowa State didn't drop, he moved teams around to accommodate for other teams. Iowa State is in the same spot they were yesterday in his bracket.

I think either all play in games should be the final 8 at large teams or the final 8 seeds overall. Mixing them up just seems stupid to me

It makes no sense. Easily handle #13 OSU and take care of business on the road against WVU - and he drops us? Bull - ****.

As I've said before, a product of some of these nimrods doing a bracket every four hours. Probably depends on how their lunch is sitting at the time. The committee will look at the final numbers as a total view (including the alleged loss to KU) and seed us accordingly.

Yup and Cincy is also safely in. It's kinda funny, ISU might gain a spot in the RPI with their win. ISU is 0.0004 behing Louisiana Tech right now.

Iowa State dropped a spot because Cincy was right behind Iowa State. 1 spot in RPI doesn't make much difference anyway. Though beating OU would help ISU RPI a bit.

so yesterday we are a 11 seed versus VCU in Austin, now a 12 seed against SLU? Did he think the ISU woman loss against baylor was teh men?

In the biggest upset since the Conclave Tournament expanded to 68 candidates... Play-in game winner Jorge Mario Bergoglio wins the whole thing!

Well played by Jorge. First the NIT champ the last election, now the Real NCAA Champ.
