I certainly appreciate all the updates on Wes Eikmeier' success this season - keep them coming! Can anyone provide some similar articles/updates on our other future players? I do recall one update on a game played by Clinton Mann. Have heard nothing about Dominique Buckley or Hamilton out in Utah. Thanks in advance. Go State.

There have been some Buckley updates but they are mostly just "He scored X points" and there aren't really straight up articles like there are on Eik. McD spoke about recruits on Monday and he said that Mann was going to be a power player for us, and that Hamilton has come a long way in the last two years and they expect him to keep developing. They said Buckley has a great physique right now and they fully expect him to compete for playing time as a freshman.

What did he say about Eikmeier?

Pretty much the same thing we've been hearing - He is an excellent shooter and will help stretch the floor for the inside guys like Brackins. He said people would be surprised by him.

From a very reliable source with direct ties to the coaching staff.....

He's indicating that the coaching staff is extremely high on this class and say that they think that Buckley will come in and start day one. They say he is the real deal, and when your rated in the top ten players of michigan, your good!!!!

Here's a great read by someone in Michigan claiming that our man will be the next Mr. Basketball in michigan!!!!

One more thought that should raise optimism....Consider EIU's wrestling team.....the reason they will be good for the next couple of years was they were able to take two of the top 8 recruiting classes in the nation and combine them. When that class rolls through they will be loaded, but, they won't always have that luxury. IMO we will be similar next year, although we lose Jiri and Rashon, not only do we get our 2008 class but, we get Lucca in there and now your talking about 3 players that will come in and contribute day one Wes, Dominque and Lucca, not to mention probably 2 starters out of the three with Mann and Hamilton competing for PT or maybe even a redshirt for hamilton.

We need to convince Barnes to sign that him signing will help get other top notch players class around him i.e. Evan Anderson. We sign Barnes, Anderson and Dykstra and we will have a top 10 recruiting class imo because all are projected to be 4* players. Him signing will help him win and elevate his game playing on the big stage!!!!

By "people" was he referencing me?!

man this class is VERY interesting

Buckley needs to be the man next yr. It sounds like he sure can handle it, a real floor general. Ofcourse we all know about Eik, if you think about it, we are getting 2 of the best shooters around with he and Lucca. The one that i find the most intriguing is Mann. He just seems like a get it done type player.
