A couplebubble situations tonight:

St. John's at Notre Dame (SJU leading at halftime). SJ would get bubble boost with win.

Southern Mich at Marshall. Marshall (RPI 214) ahead at half. If USM does lose, ought to be permanently off bubble watch. No big wins, but solid RPI and no awful losses has kept it hanging around — this would be awful loss.

Arkansas is getting blown out by Missouri. Even though they're great at home, they're 2-10 likely now 2-11 on the road/neutral floor. This along with an RPI of 75 likely eliminates them from at-large contention. That's good news for us.

St. John's is now losing at Notre Dame so any hopes for an at-large bid are dead barring a huge run in the Big East tourney if they lose.

Marshall leads with 8 minutes left vs. Southern Miss. A loss eliminates Southern Miss from at-large contention.

Iowa is up on Illinois in the second half. Illinois should be fine, but a win likely helps Iowa out a lot though they still likely need to make a run to at least the semifinals to have any hope of an at-large bid.

With the heartbreaking season it has been, I can painfully see Iowa and UNI to make the NCAA and ISU to be left out. Would be one last blow to the nads.

The only way uni is making the ncaa is if they win the mvc tournament and I don't see that being very likely

Question for the bracket experts...what is the best possible seed ISU could get? Not saying it is gonna happen, but I am just curious where would be if we win out, including conference tourney. Would that put us on the 8-9 line or slightly better than that (or just below)?

I'm not an expert but I would have to think that would depend on what teams we played in the Big 12 tournament. If KU, K-State, and Okie State all lost and we beat up the non-NCAA bound teams of the conference it wouldn't be as impressive as beating the top seeds.
