Bubble implication games for Saturday:

Iowa State Vs. Oklahoma - ISU LOSS

Alabama vs. Florida - ALABAMA LOSS

Maryland vs. Wake Forest - MARYLAND WIN

Tennessee vs. Georgia - TENNESSEE LOSS

Wichita State vs. Creighton - CREIGHTON WIN

Temple vs. Rhode Island - TEMPLE WIN

Connecticut vs. Cincinnati - CINCINNATI WIN

La Salle vs. Duquesne - LA SALLE WIN

UMASS vs. Xavier - XAVIER LOSS

Arizona State vs. USC - ASU LOSS

Kentucky vs. Arkansas - KENTUCKY LOSS

Colorado vs. California - CALIFORNIA WIN

Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State - OLE MISS LOSS

Villanova vs. Pittsburgh - Sunday game, Another marquee win for Nova. A way to get out of the first 4 in.

Mid Majors who could cause bubble trouble. The main goal for all these teams is to just keep winning. If any of them loses, they lose any At Large hopes, and make many major conference bubble teams very happy.
Louisiana Tech vs. San Jose State - LA TECH WIN
Middle Tennessee vs. Western Kentucky - MIDDLE TENNESSEE WIN
Akron vs. Buffalo - AKRON LOSS
Belmont vs. Jacksonville State - BELMONT WIN
 
WAC - Louisiana Tech (1) - Passed the first test against Utah State. Next up: March 7 - New Mexico State, March 9 - Denver. Both are top 3 in the WAC. RPI 50, BPI 64, SOS 172

Sun Belt - Middle Tennessee (1) - Regular Season Champion of the Sun Belt, get a first round bye in their conference tournament. Pushing hard for an At Large birth. Would need to get to the Sun Belt championship game for them to feel comfortable. RPI 23, BPI 41, SOS 127

WCC - Gonzaga (1) - WCC Regular Season Champion, bye all the way to the semifinals.
Bubble: Saint Mary's - Won all of their final games. Get a bye all the way to the semifinals of the WCC conference tournament. RPI 41, BPI 34, SOS 114

SWAC - Southern (1) - Regular Season Champion of the SWAC. Get a bye to the semifinals.

Summit - South Dakota State (1) - Regular Season Champion of the Summit League.

Southern - Davidson (1) - Regular Season Champion of the Southern Conference. Bye to the Quarterfinals

Southland - Stephen F. Austin (1)

SEC - Missouri, Florida (2)

Bubble - Kentucky - All they needed to do was win and they ALL lost. Ole Miss to Mississippi State, Kentucky to Arkansas, Tennessee to Georgia. The team that has the best chance to get into the tournament is Kentucky, but barely. I don't understand how Tennessee is in the First Four in for Lunardi because that loss to Georgia is bad.

Patriot - Bucknell (1) - Regular Season Champion of the Patriot League.

Pac-12 - Arizona, UCLA, Oregon, California (4)

Bubble: Colorado - ASU loss to USC eliminates them. Colorado needs one more win to be a safe lock.

Mountain West - New Mexico, UNLV, San Diego State, Colorado State, (4)

Bubble: Boise State - Big win against Colorado State. Next up: SDSU and UNLV. RPI 44, BPI 49, SOS 99

Northeast - Robert Morris (1) - Northeast Regular Season Champion

OVC - Belmont (1) - Regular Season Champion of the OVC. Get a bye to the semifinals. RPI 24, BPI 51, SOS 151

MEAC - Norfolk State (1) - Still perfect in conference

Missouri Valley - Wichita State, Creighton (2) - Both get byes to the quarterfinals.

Bubble: None. Indiana State officially ended any speculation with that loss to Evansville.

MAAC - Niagara (1) - MAAC Regular Season Champion, bye to the quarterfinals.

MAC - Akron (1) - TERRIBLE LOSS TO BUFFALO. They might still get an At Large, but now they have to get to the MAC Championship game. RPI 47, BPI 50, SOS 123

Bubble: None, Ohio lost both games to Akron.

Horizon - Valparaiso (1) - Regular Season Champion of the Horizon. Bye to the semifinals.

Ivy - Princeton (1)

CAA - Northeastern (1) - Regular Season Champion of the CAA. Bye to the semifinals.

Conference USA - Memphis (1) - Regular Season Champion of Conference USA. Bye to the quarterfinals.

Big Ten - Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, Minnesota, Illinois (7)

Big West: Long Beach State (1)

Big Sky - Montana (1)

Big South - Charleston Southern (1)

Bubble:Villanova - Cincy gets the win over UCONN and becomes the 8th lock for the Big East. Villanova has now lost 2 straight.

Big 12 - Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma (4)

Bubble: ISU - ISU trending the wrong way. OSU game has become a must win game, along with West Virginia. WIn both, and ISU is safely in the tournament.

Atlantic Sun - Mercer (1)

ACC - Duke, North Carolina State, Miami, North Carolina (4)

Bubble: Virginia- Humongous win over Duke. Not an assured lock, just need one more win.

Atlantic 10 - Butler, VCU, Saint Louis, La Salle (4) -

Bubble: Temple, - Temple continues their winning ways. Cannot have a letdown against Fordham before the big game against VCU. Xavier losing to UMASS ends their bid.

America East - Stony Brook (1) - Regular Season Champion of the American East.

61 Locks. 8 Bubble teams for 7 spots.

That's right, I'm looking straight at you Okie State on Wednesday. A top 25 win this late in the season would be HUGE for a bubble team and I am very thankful we have the opportunity to pick another up. Something a lot of othe teams do not get the chance at and are pretty much guaranteed to be sweating come Selection Sunday...

Pitt won, phew. Though as long as ISU beats OSU Wednesday, I think ISU is a lock barring lots of bubble chaos.
 
I think we are going to have to go 2-2 to make the tournament. The 4th game has to come from winning the first game in KC. If we lose at home to OSU we don't deserve to be in regardless of what happens at WV. They need a quality win. I just don't see them making the tourney without beating OSU and winning one in KC. Even a win at West Virginia with a home loss to OSU, would I don't think it will do us justice.
 
Just now on CBS Doug Gottlieb just predicted Iowa in the tournament if they get to 9-9 in conference. If Iowa gets in and we don't, we'll never hear the end of it...

How does Iowa get in? They don't really have any games left that could help them that much other than Illinois...and I don't even think that would be that great of a win. It's not even on the road. I just don't see it.

I would step out in to traffic if that happened.
 
If Iowa gets in its because they won games down the stretch in the their last 2 and then semifinals of the big 10 at the very least. They had a big opportunity last night but didn't capitalize. If we lose Wednesday I'll go into panic mood.

So if ISU ends the season 2-1 with wins against OSU and West Virginia and a loss to OU you wouldn't be comfortable in the tourney chances? A win against OSU takes their chances up to ~90%, anything after that is playing for seeding.

Iowa fans have been in panic mode since the Nebraska game. Iowa is about a 3 seed in the NIT right now.

Says he looks at other ranking systems such as Kenpom and Sagarin. Good news for us as those numbers are a lot higher than our RPI.
 
Virginia in a tight one. A loss moves ISU above the first 4 line for Lunardi.
