Maybe its because they are fat?????
One of my alltime favorite jokes: Why do women wear make-up and perfume?
Because they're ugly and they smell bad.
Wow, the missus loves that one...

But do we really want to be with women who don't take care of themselves? I have a buddy with a girlfriend who is nice yet every friday night she drinks a gallon of half and half in her white russians. he told me she has sever backne but doesn't care and says "oh well - at least they taste good". I understand personality is 95% of a relationship but how can you be with someone who doesn't care?
It's not because women are inherently lazy or due to years of "pampering" due to their body parts - that is likely one of the most asinine things I've read - and that's saying a lot. There are just as many fat, lazy men - but it's called "husky", "big-boned", or "stocky". A lot of people don't like to exercise, so to try to make this simply a female problem is ridiculous. I saw (and not trying to point fingers) Miranda Lambert called the "fat Carrie Underwood" on this site. I would eat my socks if a similar comment were made about Jason Aldean's weight.
Jason Aldean is a fat Carrie Underwood?
Jason Aldean is a fat Carrie Underwood?
 should have known you funny guys would think of it like that. I'm just saying I doubt that anyone who thinks Miranda Lambert is fat/overweight would think the same about Jason Aldean or Zac Brown.
My mom is the same weight she was when she was 20 and my dad is much heavier. My mom and I are essentially vegetarians though and dad is not.
Well I don't really eat red meat because I don't like it but I eat like small portions of chicken or fish.So you are one of those always dieting crowds
For women, from the time you are 10 years old, every "positive" media/cultural image of another woman is a photoshopped beauty. If you're really lucky, you get comments from male relatives on your weight when you're already sensitive about it. In the same way that boys are told conditioned to be tough and hide their emotions, girls are taught that their (skinny) looks are their major asset. Of course we know that all those pictures are massively retouched, but that's pretty quickly forgotten when you see everyone drooling over the latest Sports Illustrated cover/Victoria's Secret ad, etc. and a thousand other images beating into you that impossible standard of "beauty".
And when your body is biologically designed to gain fat instead of muscle, it ******* sucks. I work out probably 40% more than my husband, yet guess who quickly and easily loses higher percentages? Talk about a motivation killer for a lot of women.

If you are only with someone because of their BMI, you better make damn sure you're maintaining the same high standards on your own body. I don't expect my husband to sit by and watch if I get to an unhealthy state, but I will kick him in the balls if he starts nagging me about a few extra lbs or complains about the lack of a flat stomach post-children.
Obviously this is a bit of a sore spot for me - but it sucks to see how young and hard we beat this message into young girls. Remember that with your own daughters/nieces/whatever and be good role models for them - imparting good eating/exercise habits and complementing them on their talents and intelligence.
And now excuse me while I eat all the delicious food in Vegas and don't work out the rest of the week :skeptical:

Your the woman and I'm not, but I always get the idea it isn't because woman tend to forget that those are photoshop. I think it is because men tend to forget it. Women seeing guys reaction to those photos encourages women to want to look like that. Conversely, woman are not as likely to droll over a picture of a guy and guys are less likely to care about it if they do.
Whether it is physiological or sociological (which I actually think that a lot of sociological traits tend to be a bye product of underlying physiological differences), women want to be found attractive by those they care about or wish to care about. Woman want to please. This isn't meant as a sexist comment, so don't take it that way. Men do as well, but for most men attractiveness goes beyond the physical condition to a persona. Part of this is because women tend to look for those traits in guys over attractiveness.
Last, woman are more giving of themselves than men. I'm not saying that men are selfish. Although it is a form of selfishness, a man could be the most generous and still not be giving of himself. Woman are more likely to cut out things they like and enjoy to make those around them happy. Again, they more want to please, not just men, but everyone they care about.
Well if someone cooks me a damn steak, I'll eat the steak and enjoy it to the best of my ability. I just don't really pick it out at a restaurant. No ideological reasons here haha.I'm okay with that, although I have a hard time understanding not liking steak. I'm not a big fan of people who don't like meat but try to pawn it off as animal rights (or something like that) as the reason they don't eat meat.
