Jerry Jones of Dallas Cowboys vows changes coming - ESPN Dallas

Two questions:

1) What changes do you think he's talking about? Doesn't sound like it's going to be Garrett or Romo. So, what could it be?

2) Do even Cowboy fans think Jerry is a blowhard whose own meddling is the source of a lot of his problems? I mean, I know I feel that way about him, and a lot of non-Cowboy fans do too. But do good Cowboy fans even like him?

Watching the mic'd up spot on Romo and the Skins Cowboys game this past weekend, I actually gained alot of respect for him. Hope they keep him on.

1) My dream would be that he would hire Norv Turner to be the OC. I love Norv Turner as an OC, his offense is always productive, provided you have a running game, which the Cowboys do. It would also help hide the huge hole that is the offensive line. Also this would allow Garrett to be the head coach and take total control of the team as opposed to just being an offensive head coach. I think Garrett does some good things but gets derailed by his offensive duties.
Other than that I have no clue what changes he could be talking about, they are salary capped out. So who knows what he is going to do. The defense was so beat up you can't get ride of Rob Ryan, cause they were still decent at the end of the year even though they had about half of their regular starters.

2) Jerry is a blowhard, but he is our blowhard. At least you know he is always trying to win. Not like the Bears owners who run the team to make money for the family. Obviously Jerry makes money for the family but he doesn't skimp on the team to do so. He is a double edge sword. Good on the fact he wants to win and is willing to spend to do it, bad in that he meddles to much in the football operations that no seriously good coach can stand to be there more than 2 to 3 years.

It's pretty obvious that Romo needs an above average offensive line. A couple games this year the cameras got good pics of Romo getting blasted and his eyes were closed more than they were open.

Dallas needs a better running game. A back like Brandon Jacobs that can bruise. Maybe if Monte Ball is available when Dallas pics is an option.

Rob Ryan did as good as one could expect with all the injuries. Romo stays, Garret Stays, Jerry stays. There could be some position coach changes? These are normally not changes that lead to championships?

So unless Jerry gives up the GM Title, and the draft Dallas will get the same results. Good enough to flirt with the playoffs but not bad enough to make an impact in the draft. Mediocrity is "Dallas" and Jerry Jones

I feel like the Cowboys are becoming the Raiders while Al Davis was in charge.

There won't be any chance of success until he retires or dies...

It's rather entertaining though.

I believe Garrett is going to lose his playcalling abilities. Finally. The defense was in the top 5 in the league before injuries hit at least two players at every level (DL, LB, DB). The O-Line was just God-awful. Demarco couldn't run, and Tony had to run just to find a 5 yard pass. The biggest thing that needs to change is for Jerry to HIRE A GM.

They've won one playoff game in 19 years.
He's needs to try harder

You've got to try harder when taking a shot at the Bears.
