Luke Wells

I don't know how well the tight ends have played at Montana State, but former Iowa State GA & Assistant Director of Football Operations, Erik Link, would be a guy with domestic ties to the program that is already a TE coach.

The Montana State OC just took the same position at Montana State, maybe there might be some shaking-up going on up in Bozeman.

Has Wimberly inked yet? If not does anyone feel he might look elsewhere? I freaking hope not.

I don't believe he has inked yet but I'm not 100% certain. He had already changed his mind once before to go pursue other schools before so I wouldn't be shocked if he was out. It won't matter though. He'd only have one year to start & would get little to no PT next year

He has already signed his LOI.

Disagree. He is likely to get plenty of PT. We aren't recruiting him to be a practice player. This guy looks good.

I understand the relationship between recruiter and player but he isn't even Wimberly's position coach.

I agree. Moreover, he might give us the ability to redshirt SJ, so that he can fully heal from the knee injury and play when we'll need him even more in 2014.

So Bobby LaGesse writes that Wimberly pulled his tweets down. Is ISU trying to keep him, or Utah State wanting to make a big announcement, or is it damage control?

He is already enrolled. At this point he would be considered a transfer and would probably have to sit a year if he went with Wells. And why would he even do that?

I'm not talking about Wimberly leaving. My question was back on topic before the weird derail. Curious why Wimberly's tweets about Wells were pulled.
