Always thought Rohach was the guy for 2013

Has any other QB in ISU history ever beaten 3 Top 20 teams for their career? How about in their first 8 starts?
i don't think we have the QB problems we do if we would give JB some confidence and give him a little more leash. I'd love to see his season stats if he got to go against defenses like KU and Baylor rather than just always playing the toughest teams on our schedule and getting pulled when we struggle as a team.

Barnett is the least accurate qb we have. He lost me with back to back HORRIBLE games. Not saying he can't improve, but he was missing 10 yard wide open wrs, bouncing passes and throwing behind wrs constantly. Sam looked bad but I think every available qb we had this season was a bit of a lost cause

Um no. JB is not the answer. He makes alot of mistakes too.

Wait, he lost you with 2 back to back games of less than 50% completions? Isn't that what Sam just did and the defenses JB faced were much better than the 3 Sam has faced. Sam can improve but JB can't? Lets not forget, bc of this QB fiasco and the Steele project, JB doesn't have much experience either.
Are we really pulling that "completion percentage beats wins" crap?
The next step for this program is to win big games against quality opponents. Only 1 QB on this roster has done that.

Also, be careful of falling in love with Rohach bc of practice or bc he has the "Elite 11" label. You could have gone just as far as him int that Elite 11 stuff if you had paid your money to attend camp just like he did.

I don't care who the QB is next year as long as he gets the job done. I'm just completely tired of watching us change QBs every couple games. I'd prefer it if we'd stick with someone for the entire game. I'd don't understand why Rhoads put Jantz in. Here's to a good QB for next year!

I was as disappointed with SR as anyone but it appears he was really ill (throwing up all last night and today during the game). Sucks he got sick going into the biggest game of his young career. Glad there is at least an explanation as to why he didn't look anything like himself. I think he has a very good chance of winning the job going into next year.

It starts up front, if we are able to push them around with our O-Line, then SR likely looks better. I think that is the glaring problem right now, we need to get more physical up front, do that and we will be ok, its basic football. Sam did seem different after taking a couple of shots. He is our best qb we have seen, he is just a freshman, he is much more accurate than Barnett that is a fact. Give the kid a little more of a chance ok. I think he for the most part makes sound decisions and did so tonight with the exception of the pick. He missed on a few plays for sure. I am really disappointed today. I was hoping SR would have a coming out party.

We could buy the next Cam Newton and Mess would still find a way to **** him up.

We want to give Sam more of a chance after this 3 games stretch against 3 fairly bad teams with atrocious defenses but we're ready to ship JB out and call his scholarship a waste after beating 3 teams in the top 20 in 8 starts and then struggling against 2 of the top 3 defenses in our conference? If Sam is clearly better, why hasn't he been better? Numbers are very similar and JB has played much better competition.

Based on Sam being sick with the flu, I wouldn't be too hard on him. And there is no way in hell Rhoads would have put him in if he was showing symptoms of a concussion contrary to the belief of some previous posters.

Both sucked when running for their lives. When he didn't throw it directly to an opponent, SJ actually was maybe the best there, but the times he threw picks made him a game killer. The difference between JB and SR is that JB couldn't do it consistently when not pressured even. We had a good shot to beat KState if JB was't throwing to their feet.

Not sold on SR, but if he really was sick w/ flu...I'll with hold judgement. However, QB won't fix everything. Need better line play, and better game preparation...whatever you want to call it.
