Randy Moss accused of battery

If she has a restraining order, the chargers should put her on the staff and place her near the end zone.

*rimshot*

I actually believe Moss in this case. It wouldn't be the first time people have tried to blackmail an athlete.

Of course, it wouldn't be the first time an athlete battered a woman... Moss is an arrogant jerk that has made some bad decisions (drugs, the whole traffic cop thing) but he doesn't have a history of this sort of violence. If it was Pacman Jones, I'd believe it entirely.

Wow what a difference a year makes. A year ago Moss would have been thrown under the bus a few times for anything like this. Put him on the Patriots, throw him some touchdowns and he becomes a good guy. I love America.

Yeah...problems just follow Moss around...I'm sure he is totally innocent. I also have some beach front property I'd like you to look at in Des Moines.

Moss is a fantastic talent but he is a cancer...he has always been able to clean his act up for a short time but the "good ole boy" will always come out sooner or later.

I think I believe him. But who knows what did or didn't happen. It is true though on how differently people will look at this based on him staying out of trouble in NE as opposed to say 3-4 years ago.

Actually, I have always somewhat liked Randy Moss. I think he's a victim of both his own attitude, for which he is solely to blame, and the public perception of him, for which he is partially to blame.

What Moss has done throughout his career is largely childish, but he has never been suspended for using drugs (though admitting smoking pot) and has not been involved in violent crime. Considering the depth of trouble that a number of NFL players insist about finding, Moss isn't all that bad. He's just more public and visible than many others.

What about Brady fathering an illegitimate child...yeah, the pats are filled with "quality" guys. How about old cheap shot Rodney Harrison...how many times has he been suspended for steroids? The coach cheats and gets caught, he is told by the NFL to not do it anymore and then he goes out and does it again at the start of this season and gets caught and penalized.

I know TV wants the Pats to win because the ratings would be immense but I am no fan of the Pats.

"I want to make something clear," the Patriots wide receiver said while surrounded by reporters and cameras at his locker. "In my whole entire life of living 30 years, I've never put my hand on one woman, physically or in an angry manner."

Now his car, that is a different story. Just ask the female traffic cop in Minneapolis from a few years back...

I was just going to say the same thing. He kept repeating, "I've never hit a woman, I've never hit a woman."

I have no idea what happened, but there are plenty of shady/crazy women out there that would make up a story in a hearbeat.

My brother in law lives in mpls and said the traffic cop was and still is an attitude with a whistle and he is a packer fan from Wisconsin.

1 of Tony Dungy's rules for his players is be aware of women you have known for some time and those you have not known for very long.

Smells fishy to me.

Randy Moss spent the night in jail facing a possible felony charge after being arrested for allegedly pushing a traffic agent a half-block with his car.

The arrest could keep the Minnesota Vikings' star receiver out of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The 27-year-old agent stepped in front of Moss to stop him from making an illegal turn in downtown Minneapolis, and Moss used his 2002 Lexus to slowly push the officer a half-block along the street, stopping when she fell to the ground, police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington said.

Barrington said Amy Zaccardi is a city employee but not a police officer and was not seriously hurt. Witnesses called the situation "surreal'' but said it was clear Moss did not intend to hurt Zaccardi.

I'm not condoning his behavior but there is still a difference between this and intentionally causing harm to someone else. I believe him when he says he hasn't hit a woman. Maybe I'm just naive.

Not me...I wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him. I heard his passionate plea on SportsCenter last night that he didn't do anything here...I also heard him use the word "accident" in that same plea. This guy is a bad guy that does bad stuff. Certainly there are "gold digging" women out there that are looking to "get rich quick" but I find it interesting that (if that is indeed the case) Moss is around one...I doubt he ran into her at Church last year.

Randy Moss in trouble? No way, he's a saint...He would never ever in a million years be in some sort of trouble with the law. He's got to be the happiest guy in thw world right now, gets out of Oakland and is about to go undefeated and get a ring. I bet he gets high after the Super Bowl
