Just confirmed while watching Miami vs. Hawaii that we are in the 2013 field. The field includes us, George Mason, Oregon State, South Carolina, Hawaii, St. Mary's with teams 7&8 to be announced. Sounds like a solid tournament for us to participate in, looking forward to it!

Iowa State should be able to finish 1st or 2nd...St. Mary's won't be nearly as good next year. Only team that scares me would be Oregon St.

Oregon State currently has one player that could give us fits in Moreland. Nelson and Starks are both streaky shooters that don't bring much else to the table.

I believe one of teams #7 or #8 will be Colorado State....coached by Mr. Eustachy.

I read on their site that this is a D1 exempt tournament. Does that mean that the Wins and Loses in this tournament don't count for your overall record?

I looked on past participating teams schedules and this tournament didnt show up, so thats why I ask.

No, I believe "exempt" means your whole time at the tourney just counts as one game toward the total you're allowed to play.

Basically, participating in the event counts as 1 game, and not 2 or 3 or whatever it is you actually end up playing. All wins and losses still count toward your record though, they just don't count against the max # of games you're allowed to schedule.

We were talking if the wins and loses count or not in this tourney. Arizona has played 10 games, including one in the tournament. Therefore, I'm assuming they count.

Thanks for the clarification because I had no idea what you were talking about.
