Are any central Iowans having signal issues due to the blizzards?

It's weird. Some channels are working. Others aren't. Getting the (771) error that I get in rain storms, etc. Never had this happen in snow though.

Just thought I'd check. Thanks!

No problems in our part of Ankeny. Last time we did it was heavy wet snow sticking to the dish. The cure was carefully cleaning the snow off and spraying dish with PAM cooking spray. Hasn't happened since.

I only have issues if the snow starts piling up on the dish. My dish is on the roof but I bought a 16' extender pole with a brush on it so if that happens I just go out and brush it really quick. Otherwise the snow in the air doesn't cause any issues.

We had that happen a few weeks ago when it snowed in Minneapolis. If the snow accumulates on the dish that can happen, we have no way of getting to ours so went into the settings and changed it to show SD and HD channels. All the channels seemed to come in still in SD even with all the snow on the dish, just some HD channels were hit or miss, but SD was better than nothing!

Try some Spam. I hear it works well.

Anyway, we're getting the same issue here in Clive as well. The snow has diminished a bit, so the signal is quite a bit more steady.

I have a shovel duct taped to a broom.
