1978 Hall of Fame Bowl

Sorry Mook, I just have pics of me and friends in the stands. By the way, wasn't it called the Bluebonnet Bowl back then?

No, Hall of Fame Classic began at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama in 1977 ... switched name to All-American Bowl in 1985 ... was discontinued after 1990 when they decided to dump the bowl game and host the SEC Championship Game which was eventually moved to Atlanta ... Birmingham got back in the bowl business in 2006 with the Papajohns.com Bowl, know the BBVA Compass Bowl

In 1986 the name Hall of Fame Bowl was used by Tampa ... they used the name until 1995 when it switched to the Outback Bowl

Damn you, Curtis Dickey!!

He had a good game against us; my memory is really bad, but I seem to recall he had over 200-yds rushing that night and this was arguably the best defense I've ever seen from ISU.
PS: is this THE Luther Blue? I'll always remember your kick-off return vs Nebraska '76:spinny:

No bowl pictures but here is what Cy looked like the year before, yikes Cy with 100-year-old alumnus, Mr. Kelly, at Homecoming, 1977 :: University Photographs
