Lucious vs Gesell

Uthoff will start at the 3 spot for Iowa next year, I will bet you whatever you want on that.
If Jok can fully recover from his injury, I'd rather see him start at the 3. Iowa needs someone in the starting lineup who can knock down outside shots consistently and help space the floor.

Uthoff can shoot pretty well. Defending quick wings might be an issue but he'll be more game ready than Jok I would think. Unless Jok lives up to his #10 ranking, of course.

I will hold off on any judgement of Gesell until I have seem him go up against some good Division I guards.

Honestly, that is what concerns me now about Korie. The turnovers he has had......and the competition level ISU is playing so far. At this point I hate to think what might happen against some good Big 12 guards (or say some from UNLV or Cincinnatti). He needs to relax out there and quit trying to force things.

That still doesn't address the point that you tried to make about your hawks. He doesn't do much to increase their athleticism.

Obviously he will start, he's a good player, and franny wouldn't risk tampering charges for a scrub.

Uthoff can shoot the ball, why do you think Bo recruited him so hard. He fit the Wisconsin big man profile to a t.

He does not address the athleticism issue that hawk13 seems to think that he does. Jok could, IF and that is a big IF, he is healthy.

Otherwise, you have another jumpshooter. That is a good thing, but doesn't address the glaring weakness that iowa bb has going forward.

Why is it that the hok fan in your sig doesn't want to see a doctor that went to Iowa?

Where did I say Uthoff would increase their athleticism?

Iowa has good size, but aside from Marble and maybe Wasabe, they look very unathletic...

Marble and Wasabi are good athletes, but with that being said, I don't think their raw athleticism quite makes up for their lack of court awareness and basketball IQ.

I think you're selling Marble short here, his A/T ratio last year was very good and he did well filling in at PG.

Yeah, I was just making a racist joke. I agree Marble is a very good player and smart with the ball. Would like to have him as a Cyclone.
