There was an article about McGee expanding his role for his senior season about a week ago. But I though it was funny that there was no mention of McGee from what I've heard and read of the media day so far. Not even when talking about who would replace Scott and Chris shooting 3's. Or for depth at pg. I think Hoiberg literally mentioned everybody but McGee and the walkons in the release.

Thanks Chris. Just thought it was funny Hoiberg didn't mention him in what I was watching last night. I expect him to make an even bigger contribution this season off the bench. I really like McGees energy!

You've got to realize that on Media Day, guys like Tyrus get left out all of the time. Right or wrong. The same happened with a guy like Chris Babb yesterday. The only reason he got brought up in the presser was because I asked about him. At Media Day, everybody is trying to find out what's new you know? That's why guys like Korie, Will and Georges will pick up most of the headlines. Nobody forgot about Tyrus. Just filling you in on the way that media guys think. Again, right or wrong. Hope that helps!

If Tyrus comes off the bench, don't be surprised. He is a consumate energy guy with instant offense and fits that role so well. He may well be a guy that doesn't start the game, yet finishes it on the court regularly. Unless there is a major change, his handle is a bit loose to be a back-up PG, but he could. I think he adds more value with his shooting, hustle and rebounding from the wing.

Tyrus is this teams James Harden. Instant energy and offense off the bench. Probably the best place for him in terms of helping the team.

No mention of O'Malley, either.
