Trap Game for KSU?

I doubt it. the past 3 years under Paul Rhoads the have beaten us by 5, 7, and 7. They aren't a team that has blown us away.
i thought a trap game would be between two big games I dont consider a home game against KU a home, if anything you could say they were overlooking KU to our game
Definitely a trap game. K-State has the game of the season in the Big 12 next week against WVU.
FWIW, my contacts on the team have said that ever since the Monday after the OU game, K-State has been devoting >80% of its practice time prepping for WVU. The other 20% has been allocated for prepping for the KU game, and now (I assume) the ISU game.
Not sure I agree with this strategy by Snyder, as I think ISU has a pretty scrappy team. Hope K-State and Snyder give Iowa State their due attention.

Your so called contacts on the team are full of bullsheet. If there is one thing Bill Snyder is adamant about it is preparing for the next opponent and not being concerned about who comes after that.
never doubt snyder. i have done that time and time again and i was wrong. He is a great coach and will have them ready. CPR better have a good pregame speech to get our guys hyped up
I hope you're right, but he said the team is REALLY looking forward to the WVU game.
I wish they'd just take it one game at a time, but it might be asking a lot for a bunch of college students to take the ISU game as seriously as they should when there's a battle of two (potentially) top 5 teams looming large.

Snyder is too smart to try and pull things like that especially when we have given them all they could handle the last three years and we have done what we have done in the past. Maybe not to the nation, but to the Big 12, Iowa State doesn't get overlooked anymore. A lot of teams have been beaten doing that and the other have seen what happens when you do that.
Like I said, I hope you're right. I really hope it doesn't cost the cats. ISU is scrappy as hell.
