Breaking: Casey Pachall arrested overnight for DWI

It would be one thing if ISU was competing for say the national championship, or a BCS game, but we're not going to. Getting a win, any way we can get it (outside of cheating) is all I really care about. At the end of the year, no one will remember that ISU got to play against TCU's second string QB. ISU still has to win though, it's not a given. This is a game ISU definitely needs to win if they want to go bowling.

It's one loss. If Paul Rhoads doesn't have his players competing for a BCS game, then he isn't the coach we all thought he was. You might want to keep stupid thoughts like these to yourself next time.

fire rhoads if were not 13-0 nat'l champs

I have a hard time seeing this 'new' qb as being worse than SJ and JB. With that said, I am glad its not Pachall

"Saturday, of course, is TCU’s Big 12 home-opener against Iowa State. When asked if he’s disappointed bBut not because of what Pachall’s arrest and suspension means for the game. But not because of what that means for the game."

Is it me or this sentence really screwy?

If we win, it'll be another asterick. Don't get me wrong, I want the win bad, but it'd mean more if we got them at full strength.

It will be a road win against a Top15 team - no asterisks. Some pundits may discount it for about a week until they have some other stories take over, but in the long run it will be a road victory over a ranked foe.

Agree here. Also, we have our own problems. ISU needs to take care of themselves and prepare for TCU like he is still going to play. For all we know, the back-up could be a gamer too...our D needs to say hello to him early and often. The D needs to continue to be dominate and the O simply needs to take care of the ball and be more effective in our play calling. Find a way to win, that is all that matters.

Even TCU beat writers are melting down, although "bBut" is proper usage when making an excuse for something or excessively distraught.
