Fantasy Football Advice thread

Need some WR advice for tonight:
Darrius Heyward-Bay for Oak or Robert Meachem for SD?

I know SD throws more, but Heyward-Bey can put up more points.
 
I have 2 questions for you fantasy guys.(My first season so I am still learning).

1. I have RG3 and Aaron Rodgers. Of course Rodgers is consistent so I have started him every game, but I believe RG3 has had more points each week. They were close in week 1 but Rodgers ****** it down his leg last week. Rodgers vs SEA or RG3 vs Cinci?

2. My TEs have been in the dumpster thru the first two weeks. Week 1 I had Dustin Keller and Fred Davis, neither of which did anything. In week 2 I dumped Keller and picked up Heath Miller who is consistent, but by no means a world beater. Should I start one of these two or hit up the FA lines? I think the best guys available in my league are Mercedes Lewis (9proj), Jermaine Grisham (9proj), and Scott Chandler (6proj).
 
I'm trying to decide between Brees and RG3. I'm leaning Brees at the moment because the Chiefs are garbage
 
1. I would probably do RGIII but I would trade one of these guys. No reason to have 2 good QBs on your team with one on the bench most of the year.

2. Based on my idea of trading one of your QBs I think you could probably go out and upgrade your TE to an elite like Gronk or Graham. You might be able to get another WR or RB out of the deal also.

He definately needs to trade one of them. If you believe RGIII is for real, Rodgers will return more value since he's a proven player.

I have that same problem with Sproles. The guy gets no carries but he gets alot of receiving. I am lost on how the offense took such a hit from last year though. At least with them always in the game, they will continue to air it out.

Bigger problem is that RG3 and Rodgers have a bye in week 10. So if I were to trade, I would almost need to pick up a different QB which would really lose all of the value in either of them. I was just going to let them have a bye and not let anyone else pick them up. In theory, I have a top2-3 talent team in my league but as of right now I am 0-2 and about to play the other top 3 guys in the next two weeks. Every week my bench is outscoring my starters so I look at who they play and sometimes switch them and then BAM my bench still outscores my starters lol. Its a never ending cycle.

My best piece of advise though is don't get too cute and worry about the match-ups too much. Always play your studs. If you have two equally talented players, then maybe look to see who they play.

Your studs are your studs for a reason.

Both RG3 and Rodgers have byes in week 10. So instead of dropping one and picking up someone else. I figured I would just play the week with no QB so that no one else in the league could pick them up.

With that being said, if I were to trade one of them, I might as well pick up a decent QB that does not have a bye in week 10 but than I would not be able to go out and get a good TE.

I think this only adds to the reason to trade them even more. I would probably trade RGIII and not think twice about starting Rodgers every week. You have a lot of time to pick up a good backup in the mean time. Also do you really want to carry 3 QBs on your roster for week 10?

I hear ya on the bench. I know last year for the beginning of the season I couldn't start the right RB which hurt because I usually would lose the game and had I started the guy I benched I would have won. It was a rough season since I just missed the playoffs when my team outscored 4 of the teams that did make the playoffs.
 
We can only carry 2 qbs. I think my league is a little weird once I talk to other people about theirs. We are allowed: 2 QBs, 4 RBS, 4 WRs, 2 TEs, 2 D/ST, and 2 K. We can start 1 QB, 2/3 RB depending on FLEX, 2/3 WRs(Flex), 1/2 TEs(Flex), 1 D/St, and 1 K. I have a buddy from work who said that in his league you can start anyone you want at flex. That would really help my QB situation if I had that option.
 
My lineup (12 team league):

Brees
R. White
M. Austin
T. Richardson
R. Bush
C.J. Spiller
Gronk

Put up 160 points last week, that was fun!

I obviously don't expect them to keep completely dominating, but hopefully they keep getting me wins. Somewhat worried about Spiller's production once Jackson gets back. & will Bush & Richardson be able to be solid all year, or will injuries become a problem.

We'll see... I love fantasy football.
 
Out the 3 RB's below, what 2 do I start? I think Spiller is a no brainer. More undecided on Bush and Murray

I'd go with Bush over Murray just based on production so far this season, but who knows how well Murray will play with this being Dallas' first home game and vs Tampa Bay. Dallas' offense might show up this week.

That looks like a good problem to have. I feel like Murray & Bush is a toss up, probably be alright with either.
 
I would start Reggie Bush because the Jets have a below average run defense.
