I have two tickets to Saturday's game and it comes with two tickets to a tailgate party held at the Iowa baseball field that starts at 11:30 AM. The tickets will be near the 50 yard line, and I believe the row is somewhere in the 60's. The tickets will be arriving around noon today, but I wanted to get a post out as soon as I could. I will post full details on tickets when I get them. I am in the DSM/Ames area, so I can meet in person to give you the tickets.

Here is the back story.

This Saturday I am helping with a benefit for my good friend who was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a blood disorder, five years ago, in Tama, IA. She has gone through a number of failed treatments through the years. This year she had a bone marrow transplant and has had some awful side affects.

We received the tickets from my brother-in-law's father who works for Channel, a company that advertises on CF. Every penny received will go directly to help with her medical costs.

Feel free to PM me with any questions. This is very short notice, but we just received the notice on the tickets late last night.

On a side note, a few weeks ago I emailed Jamie Pollard, UNI's AD Troy Dannen, we happen to be UNI Alums, and Iowa's AD Gary Barta about a silent auction we want to hold. Within 5 minutes Jamie responded from his iPad and agreed to help. I immediately received an automated response from Dannen that he was on vacation. 12 minutes after he returned from vacation, he agreed to help. We have a signed football from Coach Rhoads and a signed Sports Illustrated from UNI's run in the NCAA Tournament from Coach Jacobson. I never heard a single response from Barta at Iowa. The kicker is, and don't hold this against my friend, but her husband is a season ticket holder for football at Iowa, and yet we heard nothing back from them.

Unfortunately this is common for Iowa. We host a charity event every year in Central Iowa and receive great responses from Iowa State, UNI and Drake along with area businesses. Iowa does not reply nor do they contribute. It is unfortunate because we have a lot of interested people at our event that wonder why we don't have Iowa items available.

i hope you get some money for them...good cause! JP is usually really good at helping out good causes!

Well, the auto response said he would return on a Monday, and at 8:12 AM that Monday he responded. I thought that was fairly quick, assuming he goes to work at 8:00 AM like a majority of people.

Werd. I just thought it was funny that you knew how quickly he got back to you after vacation.

Good luck on the sale.
