Forgive me for bringing this up on a Sunday already...
especially after a beautiful performance against Tulsa
But I can't WAIT for this game!
Before seeing a spread, or an o/u what are your predictions for ISU @ EIU?

I'm thinking... 27-16 Cyclones.

27-13 Cyclones. A new era in Cyclone football - we win the games we should win. No matter what Vegas says, we should win this game.

ISU has the better team, and should win the game IMO. But it always scares me when we come off of a pretty decent win and feeling pretty good and Iowa looks bad in their first game and really should have gotten beat. Plus it is in Kinnick.

But I think this might be the start of a new era for ISU. I think we are going to start winning the games when we are the better team, and I think we are. So I'll say... Clones win 31-20.

And.... I will also add... this game is HUGE for us. If we can pull this one off, I think we can start the season 4-0 and possibly even 5-0. That would be unreal.

It always scares you when ISU comes off a decent win and Iowa has looked bad and should of lost? Has this ever happened before?

Maybe 09? We didnt look good against NDSU though...I think he is thinking the exact opposite of what happened last year.

I think it plays out just like Tulsa, close early, but our running game takes over in the 2nd half.

That's kind of what I am thinking. If you look at the stats Iowa and ISU had similar yardage, though they were a little more pass focused and we were a little more run focused. But I think Tulsa is a better team than Northern Illinois. My biggest concern is that Iowa is going to have a lot of reason to hunker down this week and get better, while our guys will be riding high on the win. I think that this game will come down to line play. If our O-line can improve this week and keep pressure off of Steele while opening up holes for the running backs I have faith in our defense taking care of business on their end.

No, not specifically. I guess I was just saying more in general, that when one team comes in somewhat confident and the other is somewhat ticked off, it turns out that the team playing more ticked off wins. That's all I was trying to say.

I think they'll be a lot better after this week of prep and I think we'll see a different VDB in IC. I think we lose 24-21. Plus, every time I think we have a chance to win we usually lose by 30. I really like our chances. I'm trying to reverse jinx here.

I'm not so sure that Tulsa was better than NIU? Possibly? I think Tulsa's offense is better, but NIU has a pretty darn salty defense because they were really good last year and returned nearly everyone.
