The 2012 Football Commercial has been released

Seemed like it was over too quick (TWSS), What was there was good, I was just expecting a little more (again, TWSS)

Agreed, I mean I like the idea of getting the fans involved, but it was pretty blah. I think we need to go back to the basics of showing the big plays of last season and fans going crazy and having a blast in the stands with some "pump you up" music. The media team in the Athletic department does such a great job with the weekly hit tapes, why not do the same for the commercial?

I think it's a great idea. With students on break there were more seats available and combined with the steep discount of remaining tickets they had a lot of people there who may not have been there otherwise. (The students were on break, right? Damned memory.) So it seems to me to be an appeal to those people to relive the experience and buy a season ticket.

Marketing is in charge of commercials, which usually get farmed out to a third party (Applied Art, for example).

It's hard to believe people get paid to put this type of commercial together. And I always wonder if they watch it before showing it to the public. Sometimes it's hard to believe they do.

It's not good at all.

Take it for what it's worth. Once football season starts, no one will care about the commercial, but rather the games our Cyclone faithful are playing in.

It didn't get me excited, but to be fair, I'm not their target audience. I already have tickets and experienced the Okie State game firsthand.

I thought it was well done given who they're targeting. Then again A&M's little welcome video set the bar pretty low

Not bad. I like the idea of having actual fan experiences in the commercial. The idea behind it is pretty good. It doesn't really grab me as a great commercial though.

Still one of my favorite videos of that night is the kid with the hat. He's just standing there with his hands on his head and mouth open in disbelief. I think that's how we all felt, but that captured it perfectly.
