Great article. Will be interesting to see if Royce will devote himself to basketball in the nba or if he'll wonder into one of his many interests.
After reading this, I have a greater appreciation of Royce. Not being near Ames or the campus, you hear all about him and his activities. This article shows what ISU can do for all who embrace the university.This article is in the July 2 SI. Interesting read. I didn't know all the top picks were ducking him when it came to workouts.
Great article by SI. Like most magazines they have really slipped in terms of quality the past fifteen years or so, attempting to grab at people's short attention spans with tons of ESPN mag style graphics and pop culture snippets instead of in depth sports writing, but occasionally they can still write a compelling story.
Good article. Love Royce's diversity. He may or may not have a long NBA career, but so what. He has so many other talents to exploit. He will find success no matter due to his drive and desire.

It wouldn't surprise me if RW played out his rookie contract and then retired. Tough to turn down that money, but that's got to be a lifestyle that leaves little time for anything else. At the very least, I would bet that he's not playing in his 30's like most NBA players.
I've lived in the sticks of Iowa for most of my life and Coralville for 5 years. I'd much rather live in the belly of the beast. People here are much more realistic.
