I wonder if ISU is still in contact with him. Looks like he is starting to get back to where he used to be.

Sleeper First-Team from #top100camp def. has Peter Jok (@Mazunga_32) on it. Doesn't dominate ball; does put it in hoop w/o touching rim.

Van Coleman tells me Peter Jok with 10 or so pts last night, looked better, still playing tentative. He'll need 2 progress thru July

I would guess that staff is keeping an eye on him to see if he ever gets back to the same level he was at.

If we can get 3 or 4 really good players in this class, Jok would be a good player to take a chance on.

I think this is the reality Jok will face unless he can really step his game up and be consistent over the next month. A lot of people are taking a wait and see approach, to see if he can shed the rust and stop playing tentatively.

I believe I stated this in the other Jok thread, but as of a week or two ago Jok indicated that Iowa State was still showing interest along with several other high-majors.

That may be true, but I don't think that Fred for Fran will want anyone in their style of offense that plays tentatively. He may be better suited for Gmac's slow style of play.

I know he's had knee issues, but can someone give me the specifics again?

Did he shred them playing, is it bone on bone, etc?

Thanks.

Isn't his coach a former hawkeye player? I dont see him chosing us over Iowa if his game gets to that level.

I believe he partially tore his patella tendon. He had surgery and last year he played at Valley still not recovered from it. Horner said he played at about 60 % last year. i am not sure if he had any other major issues.

I saw him play a few times this year. Unbelievable shooter but tires quickly. Didn't miss a shot at the beginning of games, couldn't buy one at the end.

He's tentative because he's not 100% healthy.

Iowa doesn't have the scholarships (numbers) in that class to pull the trigger on Jok, imho.

Hawkeyenation posters were saying they had 1 available, but they didn't think Fran would use it for Jok...

Interesting. That seems like an injury that one would get back to 100% from, although it might take a couple years. Hope it happens for him.

Is he playing in the Cap City league? Are high school players even eligible?
Looks like there is about 1 high school kid per team.
