Brit's little sister gets in on the act.

Thinking about it, I don't think we had one pregnancy when I was in school. Now, as soon as we got out of school there were a few people that were popping them out left and right.

Exactly. 16 years old. I don't care that they've got more money than they know what to do with. How many 16 year olds are mature enough to handle this? That kid is just going to be born into a bad situation. If you're not sure, just look at big sis.
 
In highschool I had a freshman english class with a senior in it who had 4 kids. 20/20 did a special on teen pregnancies in Sioux City and she was on tv being interviewed. My mom asked if I knew the girl and I said heck yeah, one of those kids is mine. She about passed out =) Teen pregnancy is on the rise. I dont see it being resolved anytime soon. The amount of STDs will increase as well.

Saw a story on one of the news magazines awhile back about a 30-yr old grandmother. She had a baby at 16, and her daughter had a baby at 14.

Funny thing, I read STD as Short Term Disability and was going to tell you that most teens don't have benefits. :wink:

Umm..ok...you don't think this could happen if you choose to have sex at 16 and not use protection. Must be as dumb as her sister too!

News Flash: You can get pregnant while being on the pill and/or using condoms.

Sex at 16 is dumb, but as adults, we can now say that. At 16, I wouldn't have listened.
 
Her bf looks like a complete tool. I hope he realizes just what an enormous responsibility he's put upon his shoulders and decides to man up and be a good father, if not a husband some day.

Watch, now MTV will start a new show called "Jamie Lynn and Her Baby" -- a new reality show depicting a teenage mother coping with raising a child and being a glamorous party girl at the same time. And young girls everywhere will watch it, and think they can still be a queen and raise a baby at the same time.

I knew a high school girl I once worked with who got pregnant when she was 17. Her boyfriend split and left her with it, and fortunately she's been very mature about it...eventually. She struggled for a while still wanting to go out and party and get drunk, and was always trying to find people to babysit on Friday and Saturday nights. It made me sad.

I would have know enough to use a condom. There is no excuse for stupidity in these kids.

Ok, sorry, if you choose to have sex PERIOD with protection or not.

No matter what age you should be aware of the possibilities when doing it.
