Mediacom internet in Davenport

Does anybody in Davenport use Mediacom for their internet? How is the reliability and service? I know they can be hit or miss by which area you're in. right now I have Centurylink, but can only get 1.5 mbps with them. I'd like to step it up and get faster speeds. TIA

When I lived in Davenport, I had Mediacom, my parents had Qwest (which is now Century Link, obviously). Their internet was just as reliable as mine, if not moreso. Our internet would be not working at times for hours, if not days. At times our connection had to be reset on their end. And my parents' internet wasn't that much slower than ours - I could game on their internet.

Avoid Mediacom if at all possible.
