The wager was - I run the Dam to Dam, my Hawkeye co-worker wears a Cyclone shirt. I don't finish, I wear a Hawkeye shirt to work.

As I finished the run yesterday, I decided to bring my co-worker a couple of my shirts to choose from. He refused to spend money on a new ISU shirt and I refused to spend money on anything black and gold.

Here's the before and after pictures of his office that he will walk into on Monday morning. I even provided him some reading material on Cyclone victories so he has something to think about when he takes his daily ritual to the 3rd floor to drop the kids off.

I'm actually very appreciative of his challenge and constant motivation. In the year since we made this wager, I've lost a total of 91 pounds and actually can no longer wear any of the clothes pictured. I doubt he will want to keep anything so I plan on taking it all to Goodwill.

For challenging me over the last year and for being a good sport (I'm assumimg he won't punch me in the face) for having all the Cyclone gear in his office, I'm giving him a little gift. It's a bottle of Cody Road Bourbon Whiskey from Mississippi River Distilling Company out of Le Clair, IA. Little does he know that the owners of MRDC are Iowa State alums and one of them was actually Cy while in school. Go Cyclones!

Wow great first post! Did you say you've lost 91 lbs over the past year? Good for you! What a great day to be a Cyclone crossing that finish line with pride!

For future reference, please take all good hearted, fun/enjoyable, and coherent topics elsewhere, this is the In-state rivalry section. In order to post here, you must either use the terms "hoks", "clowns", or "breds", and your topic should start something like this...
"so there I was just minding my own business..."

Funny story though and congrats on the 91lbs.

Congrats on your accomplishments. This and actual debates are the stuff I enjoy more about the rivalry, rather than the moronic bickering. Good job on the office too, looks *clenches teeth* great.

Agreed, good first post. I rarely see a first post on this site these days where I don't automatically think the person is a troll so nice job!

Hey there, only nolookpass can start a thread with "So there I was, minding my own business..." :policeman:

Also, good job on losing 91 lbs and picking up running. Keep it up!
