Uthoff available?

I don't see how UNI would fit his "style" any better than Wisconsin would, if that's the reason he is transferring. UNI also plays a slow, grind-it-out style game.

I wasn't aiming for you specifically, anyway. I was just remembering the resuscitated "Do We Recruit Royce White?" thread, when someone commented on some of the players that they once got all agitated about, like Grant Gibbs and a couple of others--and how Fred had changed the standards for the program. My point being, a player who would have made us happy three years ago isn't necessarily one that would help the program now.
 
I don't understand this either, why in the heck would ISU need to be in that list?
 
wow bo ryan is an *******, i hate wiscy basketball even more now, first they play that *****-footing style and then they go and pull this ********
 
Bomo must be holding a grudge because he is about to lose a guard from Onalaska to ISU.

Did you hear that from a source, or just guessing?

Because I have felt that could be a reason, although I have no information... I have heard teams who "suspect" tampering will put the school in question on the list. IF thats the case, I can understand. If Bo is just putting BCS schools in his home state on the list, then it's a ****-move.

But why would that matter if we are not in the Big Ten and haven't scheduled Wisconsin anytime soon in the non-conference? What's the difference to Bo Ryan and Wisconsin if there's a family connection?

Damn. I'll keep my fingers crossed he ends up at UNI now.

Yeah, that could be. I know Bo Ryan has a sterling reputation in the sports press, and regardless of whether or not you like his style of play he is an excellent coach, but there's always been something about the guy that I just haven't liked. Looks like I can finally put a finger on the reason now.

So the wisconsin coaching staff is restricting him from going to certain schools? How can they do this? I understand the same conference but honestly why would it matter to the wisconsin coaching staff where he goes and how can they control his decision? I'm sure sure if i'm comprehending this correctly.
 
I don't think this news rules us out by any means. Uthoff is pretty bright and could get some academic money. Would it count against our scholly limit? Yes, but we have two open scholarships. We aren't paying his way this next year but he could still come here. He would still be getting 4 out of his 5 years of college paid for. Not bad.
