I'm meeting family in Ames for Easter this Sunday and have been put in charge of finding a place for brunch, so I need help from the CF community. Anybody know of a good place for brunch on Easter?

So far I have found Olde Main, just looking for more options.

Thanks

The Gateway has very good Easter Brunch. I think it's about $20-$25 per person. You might want to get reservations ahead of time.

Are you looking for a buffet? Have you considered the Cafe? I am not sure whether they will be open for Easter but I am a huge fan of their brunch.

Second the Gateway Hotel. They have it in the "Iowa Stater Restaurant" and also tables in the reception rooms as well. I went a few years ago, it was good.

I've had the Olde Main brunch and it was good too, might pick Gateway for Easter.

Expect some lines for the buffet, omelet station, etc but that can't really be avoided on Easter weekend. I think we had reservations, but don't they are necessary. Having them might get you in the better or restaurant seating...

Contact Gateway Hotel and Conference Center

I'm not a big fan of the The Cafe, but people seem to love their brunch.

Dye 100 hard boiled eggs, hide them all over the house. Then spend an hour looking for them and hoping that you didn't forget any ('cause that's bad news down the road).

Then try to eat them all.

Or make them into deviled eggs and make some bloody marys to go with them. That's a real man's brunch.

:swoon::wideeyed::twitcy::eek::cool::yes: Maybe that might not be too bad. That might be his last planning EASTER.

The Hilton Garden Inn of Ames is having an Easter Brunch. Their Chef is Ken Dunn (that guy that used to drive around with a Pie on his Explorer). Great food!!

Ken Dunn is a great chef. The Gateway is a great option too. I've been up to the Cottage in Story City several times for brunch and it is excellent.

It may be too late to get in anywhere now though...

IMO, the selection at Gateway is better than that at Olde Main. I like the food that they DO have at Olde Main, there's just not as much to choose from. It's also uber-crowded in there.

Valentino's brunch buffet is the best on Sunday's. Hands down. Pizza, pastas, bacon, cinnamon rolls, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, tator tots, french toast sticks, waffles...delicious. And only around $9
