We knew selection Sunday that we got screwed, but after watching the first two games tonight, wow can anybody score the ball. How does Wisconsin and Indiana get 4 seeds and we get Kentucky in Louisville. This should have been an even more special season.

Yeah, but not a better way to go out. I think it did Royce really well and the rest of our program as well.

Our seed was fair IMO. I wish we could have drawn any of the other 1 seeds but considering we had nothing positive from the non-conference and the golden egg that was laid in KC against Texas, the 8 seed was justified.

we screwed ourselves by losing to Texas in the big 12s. nobody else to blame-period

This is such a ******** argument. We deserved a 8 seed. We did not deserve to play the #1 team.

I think if we had played at a fairly high level against Syracsue or Michigan State, we could have beaten them.

That's the ******* point. Not that we lost a game to Texas. That we got screwed.

I do think there was a certain B1G bias. wisconsin, indiana, michst, michigan, and ohio state all got 1-5 seeds. with 27-7 MSU beating out 30-4 mizzou for the 1 seed.
yet all the media brags about how good they are even though the had the easiest routes to the sweet 16

Well, if you think ISU got screwed, then they screwed themselves. If they had blown Texas away by 20 points and maybe won one more game in the Big 12 tourney, they might have been a 6 or 7 seed. Their seeding was fair.

I know it doesn't matter but if the tourney were done over I think most people in the country would agree we should have been a higher seed. For whatever reason I don't think people believed the Royce hype, well as we all know, he's legit and his team can play with anyone because as he said....he's the best player.

Fair seed (I think a 7 would have been fair as well). Very tough draw, but one that really got our team amped up to play. UConn in the first round was a great thing, and beating a defending national champion gave them a lot of attention there too. Royce benefited as well, obviously, and I'm cool with that too.

I think it was more the non conference. We did nothing of note, and lost to couple of teams we should not have. The one big game we had, on the road at Michigan, wasn't really even a game. Thank goodness Dedrick ripped into them and gave them a wakeup call before the conference season started.

We were self screwed. I guess you could say we masturbated our way to an eight seed

Jeepers. You want to start splitting hairs between 8 seeds? Good luck. If we beat Texas like we should have this is irrelevant. We are then a 7. Maybe a 6 if we make a run. Beyond that, if we would have beaten UNI and Drake like we should have, we are then a 7. Splitting hairs between 8 seeds seems like a gigantic waste of time.

If KU has our exact season, there is no way they end up a #8 seed. KState continuously was seeded ahead of in every potential seeding even though we were 2 games up on them. We beat Baylor for the #3 conference seed. They end up a 3, we're an 8? The last 7 weeks of the regular season, we played like a 3 or a 4. It is easy for us to see and understand that, but the entire body of work was probably a 7 and we still got screwed into an 8. Might not seem like a big difference, but with this season it is huge, especially when we get seeded as the weakest #8 and have to play Kentucky. Put us in any other bracket, I think we're still playing.
