Walking Dead

The writers of this show are really having trouble staying consistent with their characters' actions. The Lori example is just the latest. Why would she be appalled? It doesn't make sense based on previous episodes. She should be relieved.

I guess I can kind of buy into Rick's turn towards dark since he just had to kill his best friend and his wife apparently hates him now, but I still feel like his character would have done a better job of vindicating himself.

Although I don't like Lori, I feel that her inconsistency is actually pretty consistent with her character. I know people are pointing to the dialogue with Rick three episodes back or so, but I don't really think she called for his assassination. She also seemed to try to mend fences with Shane in the prior episode. Regardless, it would be hard to come to reality when an act like that has been done...even if you wanted it done. Add to that the fact that she is with child.

I'm not so sure Lori's freak out had so much to do with Shane, as it did with Carl killing Shane. I watched the re-run episode last night and when Rick was telling her that he killed Shane and why he did it she just kind of stood there and listened, but once he said "Carl killed him" her whole face lit up and her reaction was completely different.

I don't know, maybe I'm looking too far into it.

Yeah her reaction was definitely different when Rick told her that Carl killed zombie Shane. Originally I didn't think she was mad at Rick for letting him do that because I just thought she was angry that Shane was killed by Rick. I think the love factor plays into it, but hopefully we find out more once they talk about it (if she ever talks to him again).

Well good lord the woman should be watching him like a hawk after all of the trouble he's gotten into. It wasn't Rick's fault the boy showed up right then.

If she became a mute, the show would be infinately better.

Definately looking forward to Season 3. I thought the show got much better after the new showrunner took over. Excited to see what he can do with a full season.

I was lol at how everybody in the group was suddenly a sharp shooter who could drop head shots left and right from moving vehicles!

Rick did a **** poor job of explaining how Shane's death went down to both Lori and the group. I would think things would have gone over much better if he simply said Shane killed Randall, he did it to lure me out into the woods, he pulled a gun on me, I gave him plenty of chances to lower his gun & stand down, but he just wouldn't do it. He emphasized the fact that he had no choice, but the way he presented things definitely made it seem like a very cold blooded act on his part instead of an act of self defense/survival.

Also gotta say I'm not a huge fan of Lori after she all but ordered Rick to kill Shane a couple episodes back and now she's ****** off at Rick? I'm just not buying into the way the writers went with that scene. I can understand Lori being horrified, grief-stricken, utterly shocked but I just thought that the reaction of pure contempt was unbelievable.

At least we've finally got Michonne on site to show the women that it's ok to grow a pair now and then.

agree with all of this. Well said.

I loved how they showed the Helicopters as the reason the "heard" migrated out of the city. I guess that means that if the zombies hear something interesting, they just walk in that direction until they hear something else interesting.

Also, Lorie was ****** off because it was Carl that shot Zombie Shane.

I hope the next season is a little less about the group dynamics and drama and more about them surviving and being intelligent. The Carl and Lori characters seem to have no more purpose than to give Rick a hard time. Lori acting surprised when Carl was missing is not believable. He only goes missing every episode.

It's a zombie apocalypse and we are watching a show about parenting skills? How about they argue about how to secure the food and water sources and keep themselves safe. They sit around for an entire season on a farm that is completely unprotected from herds of zombies they know exist. They have no contingency plan for a catastrophic event like the finale, a place to meet or a secondary dwelling.

Great show, but there is room for improvement IMO. Have not read the comic but will over the summer.

For the love of god, how can you people waste more than 15 seconds of your life watching this show? How can it interest anyone in the slightest?
