Sorry if this was already posted, but the nation was going crazy over the lane violation call in the Syracuse game. The call was correct. Chris Allen got the same violation called on him during one of White's free throws. Rule 9, Section 1, Article 2, Part G states:
Players not in a legal marked lane space shall remain behind the freethrow
line extended and behind the three-point field-goal line until
the ball strikes the ring, flange or backboard, or until the free throw
ends.
Watch the replays and you will see that both calls were correct. It doesn't matter if it is rarely called or not.
