Just watched part of a tourney preview going over each game.. one guy said "we all know how good Royce White is"..then followed it up by explaining how he's dangerous because he can hit the 3. Haha. He clearly knows us very well
I regularly post on cats illustrated and I'm on there every day. I'd say its probably 60/40 they think ISU will beat Uconn. Most of them know their basketball, and know ISU's strengths match up against Uconn's weakness' so unless your reading a different message board? but cats illustrated is their main board.
I actually think everything has to go right for them to win against us. Yet it's not beneath us to play poorly...just see Texas. But I take solace in the fact that we have won every big game in which we really needed to win. Texas was a must win for them, not us. In the end, we don't have to play perfect to beat UConn, just not poorly.
CBS has all their experts brackets up for show. Of the 8 experts, only two pick ISU.

Don't believe it if someone tells you Uconn is looking past ISU, Simply not true,,,,
Uconn expects a tough tough game, as I said before Uconn can play well and if your shooters go off we can easily lose...
As to UK and Media the Uconn v UK is a "sexier" matchup,, we beat then twice last year once in F4,, Plus we are a more well down Program 3NC etc,,
Funny thing is we all know that will not matter on Thursday...
This Uconn team has been very inconsistent depending on which team shows up we could give you guys a great game or we could stink,, But Jimmy C does his best work this time of year...

Calhoun was asked on NY radio yesterday about UK and his response was "would love a shot at playing them" is that the type of thing your referencing?
What would your Coach say if asked the same question? most likely something similar..
Our coach would say, " We are playing UConn and right now that is our only focus."
Not meant as a diss or anything but I have never met a fanbase that talks about their coach more than uconn. When I think of coaches, I think of coach k, Roy Williams,,ect. Jim Calhoun never even crosses my mind. I also enjoy they always reference him as hall of fame coach Jim Calhoun. Lol. He's not near as dreamy as Fred. I say from now on we call Fred future hall of fame coach Fred Hoiberg.
Just so everyone understands this,, When you think of great coaches you think Roy W. before Calhoun??

No offense, I pay attention to the big 12 and the big ball schools like uk duke unc. So that's where I'm coming from. I don't pay much attention to the big east. In fact I would think of geno auriemma before jc. I think of uconn as a women's basketball school. Also not meant as a diss as at least you're thought of unlike ISU.
Idt you can call Fred future hall of fame until he wins a NC or close to it with a bunch of wins. However I agree that Calhoun shouldn't be a HOF coach. Just answer me this, how many probations has Calhoun and Uconn been out on in his tenure?
Calhoun IS a better coach than ole Roy, however the first thing I think of when Calhoun is mentioned is:
"NOT A DIME BACK!!"
