Maybe it's been awhile since I've been to a game, but I don't recall ever playing music during the opposing team introduction. Does anyone know why they started doing this? My thought was that it drowned out the "clap clap clap clap clap YOU SUCK!" chant, but I honestly liked it better without the music because it sounded a lot colder.
 
They stopped the music while they were being introduced.
 
I don't remember music last night. I remember clapping for each guy and hearing it
 
Oh no we say suck, how about "we're gonna beat the **** out of YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU AND YOU!"
 
They have been playing music the entire year over opposing player introductions. This is the first year they have done it. And I wouldn't be surprised if it was to cover up the you suck chant. Unfortunate.
 
Just a thought from a guy who goes to a lot of Men's and Women's games: they don't play music during opposing teams intros for the women's games and the clapping is much cooler than at the Women's games. And why would anyone have a problem with the students saying "You suck"? Since when is the word suck that terrible for students to say?

Yeah, theyve been doing it all year. Not a fan. I prefer without the 'you suck' (5 simple claps says 'you're getting the bare minimum of respect, and thats it. game on'.. you suck sort of takes away from that), but its also stupid to try to cover up something harmless with music.

Also, since it relates to 'before the game stuff' I also dont like when they switch into zombie nation right before tip when the whole arena is already loud and clapping.. it sucks the air right out of the arena right before tip. Just play the song that we do for our intros all the way up until tip.
 
If they play music to cover up the students saying "You Suck" then why do they still play Rock and Roll, pt. 2 5 times a game knowing the students will end it with "We're going to beat the **** out of you and you and you and you and you and you?

That song has a name?
 
I am not big fan of our starting line up. 2 unlimited was big in 1995. Would like to see us start something cool...Traditional that doesnt involve that song.

Our crowd gets into that one more than most other songs though. Why mess with what works?
