"The Cyclones won nine more league games this season, the largest improvement in Big 12 history."

HOW CAN YOU NOT SELECT CFH AS COY???

People gonna hate the honesty, but...

- @Drake
- UNI
- 9 losses overall

That's why, and it's unfair, but it's that simple.

Because Self just won the conference for the Xth year in a row and Haith did significantly better than expected?

I definitely think Hoiberg is in the conversation, I just don't see it happening, even with all of the accomplishments. And I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong.

Yep, besides for Davidson's win over KU the other top teams in conference have taken care of business.

Plus the COY is kinda a rip anyhow. What are you judging it on? Coaching, recruiting, RPI, conference standings.

Coaching - The Mayor CFH
recruiting - Baylor
RPI - Kansas
Conference Standings- Kansas

He won't win COY, but I'm just glad Fred convinced JP to hire hime the second time around. Better late than never, JP.

Great win tonight, Cyclones!

In switching back and forth between Baylor-ISU and UNC-Dook, I came to the conclusion that ISU is better coached than all of them. So we got that going for us, which is nice.

Conference COY will be announced Monday or Tuesday, so games in the tourney won't have an impact on the voting.

All the conference awards come out on Monday or Tuesday.

W-L isnt all there is to it. Otherwise, had we lost, would you think Scott Drew deserved it over Fred?

If anything, those losses early say something about his coaching job this year. Took a team that was a loser to Drake and UNI at the beginning of the year all the way to beating 2 top 10 teams, and finishing #3 in the big 12.

I don't see how this is even a race to be honest. Haith should run away with it to me, and I despise Mizzou.

+1

That is what coaching means. Taking what you have and getting better.
