That was the spring before I got to Ames. I had a friend that was there that called me after the game and said he'd never heard anything like it, and it set the expection for me of what I thought Hilton would be like when I started going to games there.

That is one of the all-timers for Hilton.

loudest I ever heard Hilton. this is when I has a student asst in sports info office. I was calling play by play for our typist at scorer's table. had to yell damn loud for her to hear me.
 
I had nose bleeders for this one and even up that high I remember having to yell to talk to my dad sitting right next to me. One of those things that gives you chills.
 
Depressing memory for me...a buddy and I decided not to go because we thought we'd get killed...instead, we watched the game at Peoples...not nearly as fun as being there since Peoples was pretty dead...

Edit: but after watching that, it's still awesome...

Ironic that both involve Oklahoma State!

Now, tonight, if the game goes into OT and there is a timeout with a few seconds left, what will the crowd be like? Will we clap and cheer all the way through the timeout? And was it truly spontaneous? Or was the announcer and scoreboard operator doing anything to keep it going
 
Has this full game ever been released on DVD? It would seem to be a good candidate for that.

I was front row on the end that ISU was shooting at in the second half (opposite the ISU bench). What a great day for the student season ticket to rotate down there.

My tickets just happened to rotate to the balcony opposite the teams benches for this game.

I still had some fat sweaty guy i didn't know throw me in a bear hug and toss me a couple of rows forward after Alexander missed that second free throw. Good times... Reminds me of a Tool pit rather than a basketball game. Not that there is anything wrong with that...

Sorry to the old lady I squashed when I got suplexed.

That was fun to watch. Never got to see that game.

I was, shall we say, "out of college" by that time, unlike some of you other youngsters. :sad::smile:

Down 18 in regulation, 7 in OT, and won? Woah.

Hoiberg looks about 13. :yes:

Just realized this -- had to look it up for sure: That's the season OSU started 20-0. (That was their 3rd loss in 4 games)
