Back in my day we yelled at the top of our lungs from the tip all the way to the final buzzer. During the really loud moments, we caused small earthquakes on the floor. We didn't sit down once. Not even during halftime. We just continued to stand and yell all the way threw.

Congratulations!!!! If I had a gold star sticker I would give you one:twitcy:

That's another thing too... leaving hilton when we're down by 3?!
come on...

Yeah saw a lot of the season ticket holders leaving their seats... Amazing I know since they knew what the Magic was all about. Heck a couple people on here have even admitted that they leave early to be the first out of the parking lot. Even their wives get annoyed with them.

Back in my day we didn't even leave Hilton Coliseum. We stayed there all ******* basketball season and screamed the whole time.
****, we only left Hilton for football games over at Cyclone Stadium. Once the football game was over we went right back over to Hilton and started yelling again.

Back in my day we would harmonize our voices at a perfect frequency, which would actually crack the glass on the opposition's backboard, resulting in poor deflections on bank shots. We went to yelling practice and formed a club. It only took around 8-9 hours per week, and if you aren't willing to put forth that little of effort to support your team, you probably don't even like basketball and you should stop going to the games.

I'm indifferent.

I'm not entirely sure why people think the students would magically become louder/crazier without CA. I don't think CA is necessary, but I've never felt it interfered with my ability to cheer.

If we went back to spreading students throughout the arena, THEN I'd be with you. I think that would get more of the crowd into the game. But there is too much money involved for that to happen.

The CAC is just generally a giant inhibitor to fun. A CACBlock, one might say.

I don't think some of you get it.

Student Section != Cyclone Alley

Yeah...Destroy it and have holiday break games all season...

8,000 people...

stupid

I dont think we should get rid of those student areas in the parquet\arena circle. Those were around before 'cyclone alley'. Cyclone alley, however, should at least be limited to one side of the arena.

I think getting rid off CA and turning it into cheap season tickets would be a good idea. Students would get first dibs on tickets but they could oversell. I think more students would go if they didn't have to pay $130 for tickets plus $30 for CA.

But... spreading the students out would not make the place louder. Students would be encouraged to sit most of the game by the people sitting behind them.

This, CA actually does nothing except give out their rewards and take the front seats for themselves. It is unnecessary but doesn't do anything to the craziness or loudness of the students that I can tell. The students are quiet all by themselves, but at least they aren't the ones leaving early during a close game for the most part.

Forcing the shirts also hurts attendance by making it harder to resell tickets (and its already hard to resell them as a student)
