Justin Hamilton update

He would be a contributer on our team for sure but im still ****** at him for leaving. Have no respect for him. Even if McD was coach

That's ok, you're entitled to your wrong opinion.

Ham has better numbers right now than all but 3 players from last year's team and all but 2 players from this year's team. To say that he wouldn't be a key player is laughable.

Justin bailed on ISU and the program. For any Clone fan to come on here and sing his praises is laughable and incredibly stupid. The kid ******* out and quit on his teammates so as far as that goes Justin Hamilton is dead to me. This program doesn't need quitters... it needs fighters and on that front Justin Hamilton is a programatic non-fit.

He left McDermott like everybody else.

Ham would be helpful, but he's not the biggest issue our team has right now.

He was part of a transfer epidemic, which tells me he wasn't the problem. He didn't quit mid-year. No hard feelings.

I can't wait for the next thread of this nature. Can it please be about Colvin and how incredible of a team player and leader he would have been on this team... (vomit)

Then you have discredited yourself.

Quite the opposite. I laugh everytime Hamilton's girlfriends come on here and defend him like he was a good player. Hamilton was an average player at best. Anyone who watches college basketball knows that. Some ISU fans are used to mediocrity, and don't know the difference. I don't not like Hamilton because he left,I dislike him because he wasn't very good. I never saw any need to bash on him while he was here because he was an ISU player, but I certainly have no qualms with it now. I'll give you that he is better than Railey, but certainly not Gibson. He would see about 8 minutes a game if he were still here. That is my speculation. If you speculate more than that, that is your delusional choice.

Hamilton met with Hoiberg and had the opportunity to stay and play under the Hoiberg staff but chose to leave anyway. It certainly was his option to do as he pleased and he chose to go. Then his little immature crap on social media wasn't exactly a ringing endorsement for the kid's character either. Had he been honest and left in an honorable way then so be it but he didn't.

You are just wrong IMO. Hamilton would be a 20 minute a night guy on this team. I would say he would take Bookers minutes at a minimum.Sure he left, as did a whole lot of guys, no need to be negative because of that. If you cannot see that he is a nice BCS player then you my friend are seeing it thru jadded eyes.

You have your version of the story, but there are some that will say Hoiberg said thanks but no thanks. Just like Shane Power departure, no one will ever know the truth. I will tell you this though, he was never waivering in his plans to leave with MCD at the helm. He told him right after they got off the bus in Ames after their season ending loss in the Big 12 tourney. He had obviously made up his mind and was gone right as the season ended.

Jaded? He stunk! I completely agree with you that he would take Bookers minutes. Hey we agree. But that amounts to about 10 minutes a game, and that is to give guys a breather not because its a bonus. Like I said I don't like to be really harsh on current players, but IMO Booker=Hamilton. So now you know what I think of Booker.

With Colvin, it's a pretty crazy idea. I'm only saying that Ham could contribute, which leaves a lot of space available for interpretation.

You don't have to defend your take on the subject. I was just throwing out in general my disgust for threads about former players who chose to leave ISU and handled it with no class.

Phillip Bates - Not classy
James Capello - Classy
Justin Hamilton - Not classy

You're an idiot. If Booker played for LSU, he would be putting up those numbers?

If he played the same number of minutes, than yeah he could. I mean if Hamilton can do it, it can't be that hard. They are average numbers. Man you guys kill me. I'm glad I don't see the basketball world through a smeared lens. Let me guess, you thought LaRon Dendy was good too.

How dare you trash the memory of a great Cyclone like LaRon Dendy! :jimlad:

11 and 6 while shooting over 80% from the foul line are not average numbers. That is beyond stupid. They aren't great, but they certainly aren't average. No one saying he is an all-american. He's a solid role player with size that could help out most teams.
