Pinstripe Bowl Presser

10,000 alum on the East Coast. A little more than I thought there would be. I wonder how many of these are in the Northeast

Our players will be coming in to NYC on Christmas Day to get a full week of practice.

Some planned activities through the bowl: Ground zero, harbor ferry (Ellis Island), MTV studio tour, Sony store opened just for players (bowl bag $), Ring bell at Stock exchange, candy store opened just for players, (coach?) wives on CBS Early Show, etc.

Some fans have been griping about this bowl....but I know for a fact that the players and staff are thrilled about going to NYC.

Just a question and not a flame, do you guys see Paul Rhoads staying at ISU for the long haul? I'm surprised Pitt didn't go after him last year.

With the Yankee organization and NYC involved you have to expect great things. I'm thrilled for the players. I wish I lived closer to home so I could visit family easier and go to the game. Maybe next year after I've moved home.

I really don't think that he will consider leaving until his father dies. He lives in Ankeny less than half an hour away from Ames.

After that, who knows. He might decide that this is where he builds his dynasty or he might move on to larger challenges.

He'll stay as long as we provide him the resources he needs to be successful IMO. Some programs will certainly try to buy him from us but as long as we invest in Cyclone Football he will be here quite a while.

If a time comes where the program has plateaued and he want to take the next step (assuming that it doesn't happen here) I couldn't hold that against him.
