No, it's because we play Iowa every year. Why would we want to play them twice this year? I want to see a team we don't get to play OVER Iowa.

Officially agree. A win over Iowa would be way better for ISU than a win over Rutgers.

I feel like I'm the only one in the entire fanbase who finds this, essentially, a dream situation. :sad:
 
How can you not want to take a higher ranking bowl (Insight) in warm weather climate over a lower bowl in cold climate even if it is against Iowa?! So what, we'll just have to beat Iowa again.
 
maybe Iowa will be the one to decline the Insight bowl bid. ISU vs Penn State or Nebraska or someone in the Insight bowl.

Playing the waiting game in what bowl is not fun at all.. Lol especially seeing all these tweets with speculation
 
Another bonus, playing Iowa in a Bowl would FORCE the CR Gazette to attend an ISU game on the Road other Ames. No more whining about that either...
 
In fact, if we turned down an insight bid (not saying it is happening, just conjecture), because iowa was there, and took pinstripe instead, that would be when i would be in favor of firing people, because that would be idiotic.
 
i think its telling that Jamie Pollard hasn't made an announcement. Makes me think ISU to the Insight bowl is a done deal. Officially.

With everything im reading its going to be Iowa vs Oklahoma in the Insight and ISU vs Rutgers in Pinstripe. Both on the same day.

Well, going to Yankee Stadium will be sweet. Just nothing else in New York interests me outside of the game.
 
We played Iowa this year. We'll play them next year. Part of the fun of bowl games is playing teams you would otherwise probably never play.
 
Beating Iowa in THEIR second Super Bowl of 2011 would be OK with me-I'd rather not play against the home team-Rutgers- in a cold stadium like we did against Boise.
