It's kind of funny that he talks about raising the exit fee from 5 to 10 million for stability..... but then goes on to say that the exit fee would have no impact on their decision if they wanted to leave. I think Louisville will be in the Big 12 within a month! Should I tweet that?!

Yes. MU has been so upfront and honest! Just like the rest of them. NE (Osborn begging for equal sharing while voting against it) OU (no we are totally committed to Big12) UT ( we would never shove the LHN down your throat)

My point being, can we jsut end this so I can go on to Cyclone.com and look to see who we might play (for real) in 2012, 2013 and beyond
 
I think the Big 12 wants to wait for Mizzou to leave first, so they can look like their hand was forced and make it look not quite as bad when we raid the Big East for 2 or 3 teams depending on if BYU comes.
 
Anything is possible, but I don't think Mizzou is going anywhere. Heard one major donor (check for 32 million anyone) is not pleased.

I can believe this much more than the rumor I heard: All their donors are going to come up with 160 million if they do make the move... I LOL'd when I heard that one. I would say over half of that fan base doesn't want to move.

young twink fans do, older fans alumni with money, don't. Easy to understand. The borderwar runs thick in the blood of Missourians and dates back to the civil war. If anyone thinks those residual feelings still don't exist, they are mistaken.

People underestimate the Border War big time. Those too states used to literally fight. Raiding the towns in the other state over slavery. Hell, its how the Jayhawks got their name.

Side note, Missourian were known as the Bushwackers back then. That is a much better mascot than the Tigers.
 
I was in Columbia this weekend, and the overwhelming sentiment among everyone I talked to was pro-Big 12. I did not talk to one person who was pro-SEC. Not one.

I think the pro SEC faction of the Mizzou fanbase is a vocal minority. Very vocal, but very minor.

I'm not predicting what Mizzou will do, but I see them as 50/50. I feel like no one in power really wants to move, but like A&M (and maybe even to a greater degree because all jizz jarers wanted to move) the inmates are running the asylum.
 
It's interesting because I don't know anyone who has interacted with a Mizzou fan face to face (not on internet) and said Mizzou fan wanted to go to the SEC. Maybe they are two faced or I don't know what??

Perhaps because the Mizzou fans most of us know are more Northern Mizzou and all the SEC homers are South of I70??

FOX 4 spoke to an university official speaking on behalf of Chancellor Brady Deaton on Monday, and they say that the report isn't true.

Schools always deny that something is done until its done. A&M said they were a happy member of the Big 12 until the day they were accepted. You never burn bridges because you never know what will happen.

The person who said it, "wasn't true" was a university official speaking on behalf of the Chancellor. Schools have to lie about the truth until the paperwork is done.

Now, does that mean its possible the spokesman was telling the truth? Yes, its possible, but schools have lied more than they've told the truth in order to avoid even more legal issues than are already involved.
