Using the ignorance of the American public is not a compelling argument. I'd bet the percentage of the country that can name the city Tulane is in is pretty close to the percentage that can tell you what city Auburn University is in.

Tulane is in Tulane, LA & Auburn is located in the 7th level of hell

Yeah, I was kinda wondering the same thing. One thing I noticed in the link to the message board that stated this is that farther down the threads it was mentioned that this meeting had been scheduled for awhile so i'm kinda leaning toward "nothing major" as far as the outcome.

Sources indicate that Louisville is a top expansion candidate for the Big 12 and that Louisville has been completely open with commissioner John Marinatto with where they stand among the Big East teams. Marinatto likely understands that if Louisville is offered, the Cardinals will likely go.

Agreed. Whether Mizzou stays or goes, I think Louisville is still a good addition. I think they are probably the best (possible) option out there for us. Take them to stay at 10 if Mizzou leaves, take them to go to 11 or 12 or more as part of a larger move. I really don't care how the scenario plays out, but if they want in get it done and do it now.

I would like to see an offer to Louisville and WVU right now to go to 12 if we can get a guarentee from Fox that they will increase the payouts for tier 2 contract so no team sees reduced revenue. They likely couldn't join for 27 months so they would join right about the time tier 1 rights come up for negotiation so that would not be a major issue. If Mizzou leaves then the Big 12 can look to add another member to get back to 12.
