Good for the Rams. They need the help.

Not sure what the Broncos are doing, though. They're starting a young QB. He needs all the help he can get.

I know Lloyd was a fan of Orton, so I guess he could have asked to be traded. Still, it seems odd that they'd let him go, especially for as little as they got.

he is a free agent in 7 weeks. He wasn't going to be a good enough one to get compensatory picks. Might as well ship him out for something rather than nothing.

I get that, but what does it say to the rest of the team? They're a week removed from decent showing from Tebow, and a competitive game against the Chargers, and the coaching staff is packing it in? I don't think Tebow is going to be a successful quarterback in the long term, but Broncos management sure aren't doing much to help him succeed.

agree here.

I'm not sure Broncos management is all that concerned about Tebow succeeding personally, it doesn't seem like they are very high on Tebow, he was a pet project of the previous administration and I think the current one feels stuck with him to be honest.

I think this is right on the money. Fox will run Tebow out there the rest of the year and then tell management that it won't work so he can draft/sign his own guy.

I don't think Lloyd added that much with TT starting. He is a good deep ball receiver but TT can't throw that. With Denvers O line I am not sure any QB can truly succeed. TT will probably be more successful because he can move better than Orton. All in all no matter who starts or who the recivers are I don't think it matters until they fix the line.

As a Lloyd fantasy owner I'm not sure how I feel about this. He wasn't doing much with the broncos, but he's going to a terrible team. At least he'll be in an offense that he is familiar with.

And since they're always playing from behind, they'll have to throw it alot.

Both Eddie Royal and Brandon Lloyd requested trades so it's not like they randomly did this, he's in the last year of a contract and is going to want a big payday in free agency that the broncos wouldn't be able to give him. Makes perfect sense to get something in return for him since this year's team isn't going anywhere and Demaryius Thomas is healthy now to step in

What they are doing is setting up Tebow to fail and throwing in the towel. 1-15 is a great possibility. Just need the colts to win a few games. Suck for Luck.

Well it wasn't like Tebow was going to sit back in the pocket and pick apart the defenses spreading the ball around to all his receivers. If he is going to succeed it will be having a couple of primary receivers to throw to and moving out of the pocket and buying time for someone to get open. With Tebow having this many games left to play his moron style quarterback, I bet Brady Quinn finishes the year with Tebow injured for taking too many hits.

I think the move of Lloyd has more to do with wanting to see Decker, D Thomas, and Royal. There is no way Fox will run 4 wr sets, meaning it will be hard to see all WRs, plus Lloyd wont be back next year so might as well get something out of him.

So will Lloyd play this week then? or will he need more time to learn the playbook and hot route calls?

He will play. He has had one good year in the NFL, and it was under McDaniels in Denver last season. He is now under McDaniels in St Louis and will be pretty good once him and Bradford get used to each other. He won't have to learn much when it comes to the playbook as he is already familiar with it.
