This evening, ( Friday) while immersed in the realignment thread and notes about our game with the Hawks, I got a phone call.

A good friend of mine, and a former ISU marching band member, had been engaged in a roof tear off near Madrid and had fallen from a scaffold. He was air lifted from the site to a hospital in Des Moines.

He broke his neck, his leg, lacerated the back of his head, and has blood on both sides of his brain.

Amidst the realignment talk, and the "big game" today, I hope we continue to take the time to reach out to those who need our support, attention, and love.

Thank you for your time and attention.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts go out to him and his family.

Beautifully said! Very sad. :sad:Sorry to hear about this and you're exactly right. I know I am not alone when I say that I always have my day ruined if we lose this game or dont perform well. I have had some personal challenges in the last few weeks myself and along with seeing this it really reminds me that its just a game and life will go on without a hitch no matter what happens today. Have a blessed day, I know that I am going to try and keep the perspective today, win or lose.
