Can someone with a little more knowledge on the injury report get some info on the 2 deep for us this week? Here is what I was thinking...

QB- Jantz, Barnett
RB- Johnson, Woody, White, Hollis
TE-Hammerschmidt, Brandenhorst?
LT- Osemele, Bykowski
LG- Tuftee. Dika
C- Farniok, Tautolo
RG- Hicks, Lichtenberg
RT-Burris, Gannon
WR- Money, Young
WR- Lenz, West
WR- Horne? Darks

NG- Ruempolhamer, Scott
DT- Mcdonough, Jensen?
RE- Neal, Nelson
LE- Lattimer, Scott
SLB - Broomfield, Morgan
MLB - Klein, Tau’fo’ou
WLB- Knott, Miller
CB - Johnson, Watson
CB- Reeves, Thomas
FS- Washington, Givens
SS- Benton, Brackens

I believe that (barring newcomers) McDonough swings to backup nose guard, and Laing strictly plays tackle. Anyone can correct me.

Branderhorst appeared to get more snaps than Hammerschmidt. I could be wrong. Darks won't take anyones spot in general. They will just rotate guys in. I wouldn't be surprised if he is not in on the 1st play from scrimmage.

what ever happened to the kid from the north dakota juco school-i believe john casper-is he even playing football. i thought the had some high hopes for him in our offensive line and he is not listed on our two deeps...

I'd bet that they come out with more of a regular 4-3 defensive alignment with Knott, Klein and Taufoou. Morgan and Broomfield won't see as much time except for on passing downs.

I think that's what CPR was alluding to when he introduced the first two deep--this is the "base" alignment, but against teams like Iowa they'll start the game in a more traditional 4-3.

Anyone know about DL Aaron Moore? I knew he was in trouble and expected a one game suspension but I do not see his name listed on the roster.

Left the team/ISU in general. Think he went back to Tejas.

I would love to see Floyd Mattison and Jeremiah George get a good number of snaps in this weekend too.

Which of these players would start at their respected position for Iowa?

First post Iowa fan trying to stir the pot, so I'll bite. Did it based on basic position (ex.= tackle instead of left and right tackle) because the two best lineman on this combine team are Reiff and KO, but both play LT.

Offense:
T: KO, Reiff
G: Gettis, Hicks
C: Ferentz
WR: McNutt, Davis, Lenz
QB: JVB
RB: Coker/Shontrelle
FB: Meyers
TE: Herman (close one here)
K:Meyer

Yes I can count. Offensive line-up would depend on which system was being run. Coker would start for Iowa's O, and Shontrelle for ours. Lenz would be in as a 3rd reciever in ours, but Myers as a FB for Iowa's O.

Defense:
DE: Daniel, Binns
DT: Daniels, Rump
LB: Morris, Knott, Klien (Nielsen may beat out Klien, I think it would be close)
CB: Prater, LJ
S: Hyde, Benton
P: KVK

Certaintely up for debate, but that's how I would see a combined team. Leaving us with 25 potential starters depending on the O and counting Kicker and Punter.
10 ISU and 16 Iowa. This is, of course, assuming guys like Rump and KO are healthy, which may not be the case this weekend. Iowa still has better talent, but I think the overall gap is smaller this year than in the previous 5 or so.

I think Ko would start anywhere on the line besides LT and Center. And I think both Benton and Johnson would start for Iowa along with Knott. You guys have some big talent on D.

The above would be one HELL of a team.

None. Most of ISU's players wouldn't start for UNI.

Of course, every squawk could be starting on an NFL roster right now.

Troll.

I would prefer not to, unless we are blowing them out. If they are playing alot it would likely mean the starters are hurt.
